IEP Meeting Time

(August 2019) Time for Payton’s IEP meeting.  I go in and as usual her meeting is a success and good news.  She qualifies for OT at school!  She is going to work on pencil gripping, buttons, and zippers right now. I thought she wanted Payton to come in button pants to school and I was thinking you’re crazy, but I will if you want me to.  I misunderstood LOL. She takes a pair of old jeans and cuts them off up to the waist line and has the kids wrap it around them to work on buttoning their pants.  Wow what a great idea!  Her reading goal has already been rewritten as the books they read in class are too easy for her!  Amazing, but not surprising as she loves to read.  Her teacher will now have to find more books with a story line or chapters.  Great news.
